I have a main coon cat. That hates to be shaved.?

Hi. I also have a maine coon cat and live where it gets very hot also. They do ok if they are not shaved. You should try and brush him often as he will get a summer coat that is easier for him in the heat than his heavy winter coat. Provide fresh water for him regularly and he should be fine without shaving.
