My face KEEPS swelling! Help?

So, I got into a car accident Saturday, I rolled a 15 pack van. I got 45 stitches on the left side of my forehead, above my eyebrow. I also had a black eye, my left eye. YESTERDAY, Tuesday, my face swelled up, starting to go to my right eye. Went to a critical care place, they said it was NORMAL?! Kept ice on it afterwards. Today, I wake up at 8 AM and my face is COMPLETELY swollen to my right eye. I haven't been sleeping with my head elevated. . . What the HELL is wrong with me, and how do I make the swelling go down?
