My 9 yr old cat (Maine Coon) passes brown, odorless urine(?) on and off.?

he has tested negative for U.T.I. and also does not appear to be in pain and is eating fine. He does have early stages of dementia (vet diagnosed). I'm concerned that this could be a pancreatic problem but am trying to do research before taking him to the vet. Anyone have any ideas?
